Discover Fun Life LLC: Partnership Shout Out! - Chewy Vet Care Services

We are so excited to be planning and hosting our 3rd Annual Doggie Easter Egg Hunt event! We've changed it up a bit this year. In order to continue providing excellent and memorable experiences for our pups and their humans, we've elevated our venue location. Normally, we're all about supporting local, and hold our events at dog friendly breweries or local coffee shops. There will still be some room for that in 2026, but we are moving in a different direction. We recently launched our Paw+People Collective membership group, which is all about curated experiences for small groups. We are keeping that momentum and providing the same kind of service, but on a larger scale.  This year's event will be held at a private location, with a fenced in yard and tons of other great amenities. Dogs and humans will have pool access, enclosed space for dogs to enjoy off-leash. The dogs can also enjoy an awesome sensory garden, there will be photo ops scattered throughout and tons of a...

Paw + People Collective events will be centered around social, wellness and lifestyle experiences. We are excited to share this next step of our small business jo...

Discover Fun Life: Upcoming November Events

Hi everyone!  We've been super busy hosting and planning events in October but we are getting ready to keep this year moving. November is upon us, and we have a few fun events in the works! First, join us for our SECOND Barks N' Brunch event on Sunday November 3rd, from 10:30am-12:30pm. I'm happy about this one, because this will be at one of my favorite places in SoFlo. The Bloody Mary is delicious and the tuna wontons are to die for. Where is this place with the amazing food? The Nauti Dawg Marina Cafe , located in Lighthouse Point.  It's located right at the marina, with beautiful water views. Sometimes you'll see the tarpon swimming around and you get to enjoy looking at some pretty nice boats. The area is super sweet, with pastel colored houses and a community pool not too far from the restaurant. This restaurant is super dog friendly, with a dog menu, and offers an incredible selection of food and beverages for the humans too. Keep in mind, the restaurant clo...

Discover Fun Life: Dog Friendly Florida

We make it our business to find cool spots around Florida that are pet friendly. Let me tell you that you should definitely add it to your list of dog friendly places if you're looking for a fun spot with great food. We just hosted our Barks N' Brunch meetup event at Batch New Southern Kitchen in Ft. Lauderdale. It's located centrally in Flagler Village, right on Federal Highway in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale. It has an awesome outside area with plenty of seating in the shade, a fun courtyard with turf and plenty of large umbrellas. The string lights overhead give it a cozy feeling. There are a few high top tables outside next to the outside bar. There's plenty of shade so you won't overheat in the Florida sun. There's free parking at the Manor and also if you're luck to find street parking, you won't have to pay. The bathrooms are super clean, staff is welcoming and very friendly. The food is delicious. I had the avocado toast with a sunny side up egg...

Discover Fun Life- Pawrent’s Single and Mingle Events

We’ve had great success as we’ve introduced a variety of different dog events into our monthly dog meetups with our meet up group, South Florida Yorkie’s. We try and host events that cater to everyone.  One event that we have a really fun time hosting is our single events. They are really done for the dog dad’s out there. There are so many dog meetup groups for women, but sometimes it’s nice to meet a dog dad. So, these are for you!! Check out our reel on our Instagram to see how awesome this meet up was in July. We had some adorable pup cakes donated for our event by Woof Gang Ft. Lauderdale, and the dogs really enjoyed it. We even included a few vendors into the mix and collected donations from the guests, which was then used to purchase physical goods for our friends over at Abandoned Pet Rescue. It’s a great feeling to provide a fun meetup for other like minded individuals, while also supporting our local brewery, local small dog businesses as well as a pet shelter.  We lo...

Discover Fun Life: Dog Friendly- Living Color Garden Center

Living Color Garden Center is a hidden gem tucked away in the bustling city, offering a delightful escape into a world of vibrant colors and stunning botanical displays. As we wander through the garden center, we are greeted by a mesmerizing array of beautiful flowers that seem to dance in the gentle breeze. The sight of massive sculptures strategically placed among the blooms adds an element of grandeur and whimsy to the surroundings. During our visit, Zeus joyfully explored the garden center. It was heartwarming to see him leisurely strolling along the footpath, pausing every now and then to inhale the sweet scents of the flowers. It was adorable to see Zeus against the backdrop of the towering sculptures created a charming scene that brought a smile to my face. Living Color Garden Center turned out to be a captivating place to spend a few hours. The winding pathways led us through various themed sections, each offering its own unique aesthetic and sensory experience. What stru...

Discover Fun Life: Oxyfresh Product Review

I recently had the opportunity to try out Oxyfresh Odor and Spot Cleaner, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with its performance. This product truly lives up to its claims of being a powerful stain remover and odor eliminator. Upon immediate application of Oxyfresh Odor and Spot Cleaner, I noticed its effective action on the stain. The formula works rapidly to break down the stain, making it easier to tackle. However, what truly amazed me was the results after letting it soak for just ten minutes. The stain completely vanished, leaving no trace behind. It was like magic! One of the standout features of Oxyfresh Odor and Spot Cleaner is its lack of smell. Unlike other cleaners that leave a strong chemical odor behind, this product leaves no scent at all, making it ideal for households with pets or those sensitive to fragrances. I appreciated that it is non-toxic for pets, providing peace of mind when using it around my furry friends. The convenience of Oxyfresh Odor and Sp...

Discover Fun Life: Bulldogoly Pee Pad Review

I recently tried the Bulldogology Washable Pee Pads, and I must say, they have exceeded all my expectations! These pee pads are a game-changer when it comes to managing accidents with my little Zeus. First and foremost, the washable and reusable feature of these pads is a huge plus. The well-made sturdy fabric not only holds up well after multiple washes but also ensures durability and longevity. The absorbency level is exceptional, keeping messes contained and preventing any leakage or spills. What I love most about these pee pads is that they are mess-free and odor-free. The eco-friendly aspect of being able to wash and reuse them not only saves money in the long run but also reduces waste. The extra-large size of the pads is fantastic as it prevents any spills or accidents from seeping off the pad. The color blends seamlessly with our surroundings, giving a clean and cohesive look to the space. The added rubber bottom keeps the pad securely in place, even with active pets arou...

Discover Fun Life: Pawson Co Dog Shampoo Review

I recently tried the Pawson Co Dog Shampoo, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. The first thing that caught my attention was its small size, which fits perfectly in the palm of my hand. This compact design makes it incredibly easy to handle and use during bath time.   Additionally, the small size of the shampoo bar makes it convenient to store, as it is not bulky and fits neatly in my dog grooming kit. This feature is a game-changer for me, as I can now keep it close at hand without taking up too much space. But the best part about this dog shampoo is its cleaning power. Despite its size, it delivers a nice, soapy lather that effectively cleans my stinky dog. After using the Pawson Co Dog Shampoo, my furry friend was left smelling fresh and looking incredibly clean. His coat was noticeably softer, whiter, and fluffier, which made me one happy dog mom. Overall, I highly recommend the Pawson Co Dog Shampoo to all dog owners looking for a compact, easy-to-u...

Discover Fun Life: Our Favorite Foods for Zeus

As I mentioned in my post, Zeus is a very picky eater for such a small dog.  I recently discovered Farm to Pet dog treats, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed! These single-ingredient treats are a fantastic find for dog owners who prioritize the health and happiness of their furry companions. What sets Farm to Pet treats apart is their simplicity and quality. Made locally in the USA, these treats are not only affordable but also incredibly crunchy, providing a satisfying texture for your dog. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they arrived after ordering - within a week, which is fantastic for those of us who want to spoil our pups promptly! My dog, Zeus, absolutely adores these treats. His tail starts wagging the moment he hears the bag rustle, and he devours them with enthusiasm. Knowing that these treats are a healthy choice for him makes me even happier to see him enjoy them so much. One of the standout features of Farm to Pet treats is that they contain no a...

Discover Fun Life: Exploring St. Augustine: A Dog-Friendly Adventure

St. Augustine, Florida, known for its rich history and charming atmosphere, proved to be the perfect destination for a recent getaway with my furry companion, Zeus. Our journey began with a scenic drive along A1A, soaking in the ocean views and passing by majestic mansions that lined the coast. We wanted to hit a few tourist stops along the way, a few lighthouses, however due to liability reasons, they don’t allow pets to go up with you. They do allow pets on the grounds of the lighthouse, but there’s no fun if you’re not able to go up and enjoy the view.  One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the Castillo de San Marcos, where Zeus and I were able to walk around the grounds. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the inside of the fort, which does take away some of the luster of St. Augustine. We also discovered that the local San Sebastián winery was open to four-legged visitors, adding a touch of relaxation to our adventure. That night it was freezing up on the rooftop, ...

Discover Fun Life: New Puppy- Where to go and what to expect

Hi! Bringing a new puppy into your life is one of the most joyous and exciting experiences. As a proud pet parent myself, I can empathize with the endless love and adoration you must be experiencing. Today, I want to share my heartwarming journey of my experience as a first time pup mom, what to expect and the best products to get when you’re starting off.  My trainer told me that I needed to give my puppy as much exposure to sights, sounds, smells, noises and unusual experiences early on. However, the vet said for me to avoid interactions and that the dog should not be going out or touching the ground until he had all his vaccines. So, stuck in the middle of great advice, what was I going to do? I did some research and decided that using a carry pouch would help my new furry friend adjust and explore the world in his first five months of life. I would highly recommend purchasing the  TOMKAS Dog Sling  or all your exploration needs. There is a big pocket in the front, lar...

Welcome To Discover Fun Life

Hello and welcome! We are Carla and Zeus and our goal is to facilitate YOUR life by finding the best dog friendly locations, activities and products for you and your furry friend. We are here to take the guess work OUT and the fun IN! Discover Fun Life was inspired by my love of traveling, love of adventure and love of discovering fun spots that only locals would know about. As a solo traveler myself, I do extensive research on the best restaurants, trendy spots and the must see attractions of the place I'm going to. From there, I put together a lose game plan with a rough time frame needed for that area.  I prefer to walk where I can so that I can soak up as much of my destination as possible. It's this way that I've stumbled upon some of the best restaurants and rare findings that make the trip memorable. The concept changed a little after I got my four legged furry friend, Zeus. He's the best travel buddy, small enough to fit in a bag but big enough to handle himself...
